Microdermabrasion
Diamond Microdermabrasion is a treatment used to remove dead skin cells. This is done is by applying a diamond head wand-type tool to the skin in a circular motion until the entire surface area of the face has been reached. This procedure helps remove damaged skin layers, improve dull skin color, minimizes and cleans wide pore and acne scars, and stimulate collagen production
Microdermabrasion is a very popular skin-exfoliating treatment. The advantages of microdermabrasion are significantly noticeable over the course of six to twelve treatments, showing off with low risk and rapid recovery. Since microdermabrasion produces only a superficial depth of skin removal, it works best on improving conditions on the surface of the skin, such as early photoaging (sun damage), fine lines, age spots and acne, and superficial scarring. Although the face is the most common area for microdermabrasion, any skin area, including neck, chest, back, and hands, may be treated.
Microdermabrasion is a painless, noninvasive, skin-rejuvenation procedure using a combination of a fine diamond abrasive tip and vacuum suction applied to the skin. Minimal to no recovery time is required after microdermabrasion and most people (if not all) immediately return to daily activity after a microdermabrasion session.
How Microdermabrasion Works:
Microdermabrasion removes a few of the top layers of the skin. Since human skin typically regenerates at approximately 30-day intervals, skin improvement with microdermabrasion needs to be repeated at average intervals of two to four weeks for continued improvement. Multiple treatments in combination with sunscreen, sun avoidance, and other skin-care creams yield the best results.
